I remember living in Australia thinking, it is time I buy a domain...but what do I pick?? As you can tell, I went with my name. One thing I know for sure about life is my story and how I want to share it for others to hear. I aspire to make a difference in the world, to make a positive mark, to let the world know that I am doing more than just living and breathing. I may not be the best writer or story teller, but I write with love in my fingers and an honest heart.
When I was 21, I called off an engagement with my first love. It was truly the hardest thing I had faced up until that point in my life. I had seen my parents go through their own heartbreak with their divorce, I knew it wasnt easy but I was not prepared for the deep aching I felt on a daily, sometimes hourly occurence. I asked my dad why I had to go through such crap, his response still rings in my ears when I face something difficult..."well, you said you have always wanted to help others, maybe this is something you will get to share with someone else and help them face it with courage."
Life isnt easy, thank goodness or else it would be boring. As a lover of quotes, I find such strength in reading through my quote book or the list of quotes saved on my phone. I may not be the biggest reader of novels or classics, but one thing I know is there is true strength in words. One of the main purposes of starting my website and this blog is to share my thoughts, stories, and pictures to reach out to more people. I hope to to give others courage when they face hard times, bring a smile to their face, or hope to their life.
“Mental pain is less dramatic than physical pain, but it is more common and also more hard to bear. The frequent attempt to conceal mental pain increases the burden: it is easier to say “My tooth is aching” than to say “My heart is broken.” C.S. Lewis. I hope to share my honest and true thoughts with those who want to listen, to help someone say "my heart is broken...and its okay."
I know I havent said much for my first post, but sometimes less is more. And there will be more to come.
